2013 Concept Community: Student Housing FAQs

Multifamily Executive is preparing to roll out its 2nd Annual Concept Community. This year's theme is student housing. Many have seen the prospectus but I wanted to outline some of the frequently asked questions about this program below.

Q: What is the MFE Concept Community platform?

A: Each year MFE's editorial team partners with leading architects, developers, owners and researchers to present comprehensive case studies on a multifamily housing trend. In 2012 we focused on projects and best practices for the Gen Y renter. In 2013 we are setting our sites on student housing. The 2013 Concept Community will do a deep dive into every aspect of this segment in order to prepare readers to compete and thrive in this extremely competitive segment of the market.

Q: Who are these partners?

A: Some of the best in the student housing business: American Campus Communities, Fountain Residential, Humphreys & Partners Architects, KTGY Architects and J Turner Research.

Q: Why is this format useful?

A: We use a combination of print, digital and events to maximize the exposure for this theme over the course of 1 year. This platform provides readers with easy access to important content and sponsors with an editorial environment that allows them to showcase specific applications.

Q: Why should I sponsor the 2013 Concept Community?

A: If you do business in the student housing segment your firm will not only get valuable exposure and sales leads from executives currently involved in student housing, it will have access to developers and operators targeting this segment for future growth. MFE has a reach of more than 50,000 senior-level subscribers with proven purchasing power. For the cost of less than $2000 per month each Founding Sponsor gets a turnkey marketing program in student housing for almost 1 year. And there are lower levels available for well under $1000 per month!

Q: Describe the unique sponsorship benefits.

A: Exposure, Exclusivity, Thought Leadership and Lead Generation

Exposure: print ads, eNewsletter ads, website banners, custom web pages and corporate profiles.

Exclusivity: There is a maximum of 11 Founding Sponsors and a limited number of Supporting Sponsors. Some sponsorships are category exclusive.

Thought Leadership: Aligning your brand with MFE and partner firms for best practices in student housing

Leads: Each Founding Sponsor receives access to more than 1400 registrations we capture, along with the ability to qualify these registrations with a categorical buying intent question.

Q: Are Sponsorships Category Exclusive?

A: In most cases yes, but we do have some exceptions where firms have broad service lines. Exclusivity mostly applies to building product manufacturers in order to provide optimal value on each lead and the most benefit to the audience.

Q: What if I do not do business with any of the partner firms?

A:  Although we plan to profile projects and best practices of our partners we will also be open for using content from other sources as well. Specific products/services specified by partner firms will not have an advantage in the program.
