AHF50 Issue

AHF 50 Issue
Each year Affordable Housing Finance surveys the nation's leading developers and owners of affordable housing. In April, the editorial staff will showcase the results from the 2012 survey. This issue is always the largest of the year due to the reader engagement it drives.

In addition to the owner and developer lists, AHF also features the Top 10 Acquiring Firms and the Top 10 Companies completing major rehab projects.

POLICY: The latest on sequestration and Capitol Hill.

FINANCE: Tax Credit Equity: the latest on the historic rehab tax credit and how deals are changing due to the Historic Boardwalk ruling in the fall.

Freddie Mac:  Kim Griffith speaks on what’s new at Freddie and we will also be talking to lenders about the plans to scale back GSE lending and how that might impact readers.

PROBLEM SOLVING: Michelle Norris will be writing how nonprofit National Church Residences has created a preservation-plus program.

GREEN SCENE: Blue Sea Development just had the grand opening last week for Arbor House in the Bronx. This project features a hydroponic urban garden on the roof as well as a partnership with Mt. Sinai regarding obesity and asthma in low-income residents.

I always wonder where were this guys in 2006 and 2007. Haven´t they seen the bubble?? I really distrust the entire Real State business today. This year I had to travel to Argentina for business and stayed in a rent apartment in buenos aires. There I felt that the entire business works different, and despite the economic crisis Argentina had, the real state marked has never collapsed.
